tips for calling in to a talk radio show
Try to call early in the show, keeping in mind that the number may be busy, and you may need to keep calling before you get through.
Plan what you are going to say before you call. Typically, a screener will answer your call and decide whether to put you on the air. The more educated and concise you sound during that screening, the better your chances are of getting on the show.
Stick to the facts, and get to your point quickly. Make sure to clearly explain your argument so less informed listeners will understand your point of view.
On the air, be upbeat and conversational with the host. Listen to their questions and try to respond using the key points you are trying to convey.
